ERJ staff report (DS)
Seoul, Korea -- Following the 22 December announcement that it intends to build a tyre factory in Indonesia, Hankook Tire has posted more details of the project.
The company said the investment will take it to 5th position in ERJ's global tyre rankings by 2014
Hankook said, "This large-scale global production centre in Southeast Asia is a valuable breakthrough for Hankook Tire, as it will enable the company to become the world's fifth largest tyre company. It is also expected to support Hankook in achieving an annual output of 100 million units by 2014, a part of Hankook Tire's mid-term business goal called the 5-1-1".
