Lewis-Goetz buys two US distributors
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -- Lewis-Goetz and Co. Inc. has acquired most of the assets of two distributors, EVCO House of Hose in Salt Lake City and Industrial Rubber & Supply of Decatur, Alabama.
Both purchases took effect on Jan. 1, and financial details weren't disclosed.
EVCO distributes hose, fittings and related products, and specialises in the fabrication and supply of industrial and hydraulic hose products for a variety of industrial applications throughout the Rocky Mountain region, Lewis-Goetz said. Jeff Crane, president and CEO of Pittsburgh-based Lewis-Goetz, said the purchase fills a geographic hole in the company's footprint.
The geographic location and end markets of Industrial Rubber also are particularly interesting to Lewis-Goetz, Crane said. The company distributes gaskets, seals and hose assemblies to industrial customers in the northern Alabama market.
