Analysts report more investment in synthetic rubber plants
ERJ staff report (DS)
Sugar land, Texas -- Analysts Industrial Info Resources say that synthetic rubber makers are increasing their capacity investments, but that the growth will not match the most robust years of growth.
The analysts say, "Some of the largest projects this year will include plans by Firestone Polymers LLC (Akron, Ohio), E I du Pont de Nemours and Company, and Solvay Advanced Polymers LLC (Augusta, Georgia). Based on projects identified as part of Industrial Info's North American Project Database, total spending for this segment of the CPI could reach $65 million this year. "
