Conti denies reports of expansion in Romania

Hannover, Germany -- Continental has denied reports from Romania last week that it is to invest up to $66 million in its Timisoara factory. The company said reports in the Ziarul Financiar were false, and that the journalist concerned had found old announcements and reported them as if they were new.

The reports were re-printed in a number of publications, mainly in the Balkan area of Europe at the end of last week.
