IISRP announces new SBR grades based on unlabelled oils

Houston, Texas -- The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers Inc. has announced the creation of new grades for oil-extended SBRs.
“Our Technical Committees in Europe, Asia and The Americas have been working to develop this numbering system for several monthsâ€, said James L. McGraw, IISRP managing director and CEO “Several non-labeled oils have come to the market since we first started working on specifications in Europe a few years ago.â€
The new grades will be published in the next edition of the Institute's Synthetic Rubber Manual. A summary of the grades can be found on the IISRP website (below).
