Tesco joins with Blackcircles to offer tyres to UK consumers
ERJ staff report (DS)
Cheshunt, Herts, UK -- Tesco, Britain's most powerful retailer, has formed a joint venture with UK-based online tyre retailer Black Circles, to offer tyres to UK consumers.
A Tesco spokesman said the company launched a website (below) a couple of weeks ago allowing customers to buy tyres online at savings of up to 40 percent.
The website appears to be a co-branded front end to the standard Blackcircles website and does not appear to offer any benefit beyond brand confidence to the consumer. The Tesco spokesman declined to say how much Tesco or Blackcircles expects to make from the site, or how many tyres might be sold.
