Cichi named Pirelli Canada president

Montreal, Canada - Pirelli Tire North America Inc. (PTNA) has named Riccardo Cichi president of Pirelli Tires Inc. Canada, succeeding Marco Zambianchi, who is moving to Pirelli Tire North America as a vice president of passenger replacement and motorcycle tyres.
Cichi, vice president of US consumer replacement sales since January 2003, started at Pirelli Canada as a market analyst in 1989 before moving to the US in 1992 as operations director.
He subsequently was marketing director, vice president of marketing and lastly vice president of sales and marketing, working out of PTNA's New York office.
Zambianchi is a relative newcomer to Pirelli, joining the tyre maker in Italy in 2006 before being named vice president and general manager of Pirelli Canada shortly thereafter. Prior to joining Pirelli, Zambianchi was commercial director at Carlsberg Italia.
