Muscatine, Iowa -- Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, is raising prices in the US on Bridgestone- and Firestone-brand truck and bus radial tyres by 12 percent, effective immediately.
“Unfortunately, severely escalating raw material costs, as well as energy and other costs related to manufacturing, have made a price increase of this level unavoidable,†said BBTS President Kurt Danielson. “We remain committed always to provide a premium package of quality and value to our customers.â€
Bridgestone did not comment on prices in Canada. The company last raised prices on truck and bus tyres on Nov. 1, 2010, by up to 8 percent.
