Solutia continues divestment of Flexsys units

St Louis, Missouri - Solutia Inc has sold another tranche of the Flexsys business activities. The company has now sold its dithiocarbamates (DTCs) and tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide (TBzTD) businesses to Performance Additives Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Behn Meyer Chemical Holding (S) Pte. Ltd., for $26 million, subject to a customary working capital adjustment. These products are manufactured in Termoli, Italy.
Last November, Solutia announced the sale of its Perkalink and primary accelerator business activities to Lanxess.
Greta Senn, president and general manager of Solutia's Technical Specialties division said in a statement 1 February, “"These divestitures support our strategy to focus on high-value, global market-leading performance materials and specialty chemicals."
