Shanghai, China -- Chinese steel producer Baoshan Iron & Steel Pipe Division claims to have made wire cord rod which can be turned into super-strength steel cord for tyres. The company said it intends to make a full range of steelcords based on the new grade.
On January 28 the company said it has produced rod in the B96LX class, upgrading strength from more conventional B86LX, B92LX products.
The company said the rods were produced on the eve of Chinese New Year.
