Nankang's ECO-2+ tire gets TÃœV SÃœD recognition

Munich, Germany – The new Nankang ECONEX ECO-2+ was certified by TÜV SÜD, the international certification organisation based in Germany.

Nankang said it is the first and only tire manufacturer in Taiwan to obtain the TÜV certificate.

Testing ECO-2+ against three leading European competitors, the TÜV SÜD result shows the new ECO-2+ has “outstanding overall performance”, especially on wet roads. Besides the feature of fuel saving, the new ECO-2+ ranked second among the competitor brands by performing “excellently in wet braking, lateral wet grip, and in wet handling”.

The tire was tested against three leading European brands, from October to December 2013 by TÜV SÜD Automotive. Tire size: 205/55R16; Car: VW Golf VI 2.0 TDI; Report no. 76252274.
