Four mark 40 years at global engineering firm
ERJ staff report (PR)
Lincoln, UK - Four James Dawson employees - Gary Fereday, Anthony Brayford, Alvin York and Peter Owers - have each met the milestone of 40 years' continuous service with the Lincoln-based global engineering firm.
In total, the four have accumulated 160 years' service with the business, having joined the firm in the mid-1970s.
They were congratulated by a gathering of colleagues keen to show their appreciation, and presented with long-service certificates by operations director Lee Metcalfe.
"In a day and age where both the opportunity and desire to remain with the same employer are limited, it is heartening to find a group of people willing to commit their careers to one company,2 said Peter Wressell, HR director at James Dawson.
The company manufactures silicone and organic rubber hoses for diverse markets, particularly diesel-engine applications. Customers include global giants Caterpillar, JCB and Cummins and many other major OEMs around the world.
