Houston, Texas -- A report by Kevin Boyle of ICIS, published on the GLG website suggests that butadiene supply in the US remains tright, following Goodyear's Force Majeure closure of its SBR plant in Beaumont Texas.
The report suggests tat butadiene, currently around $1.65/kg for contracts, need to rise to $2.10 before new technology can be developed to fill a potential gap in the market.
