Goodyear India achieves 'Superbrand' status

New Delhi, India -- Goodyear India Ltd has been awarded 'Superbrand' status at an awards ceremony held in New Delhi on 3 Aug 2011.
The award was received by Rajeev Anand, managing director of Goodyear India from Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia at an evening that was attended by “the who's who of the industry,†Goodyear said in an announcement.
On receiving the award, Anand said, “Goodyear India is extremely proud of winning the Superbrand status for 2010/11. This is indeed a great recognition for us and a reflection of all the hard work and dedication of our associates and channel partners.â€
Goodyear India said it received one of the highest scores amongst an assortment of companies from various industries and said it is the only tyre company in India to be awarded this prestigious recognition this year.
Superbrand is one of the world's largest brand evaluation authorities that pays tribute to exceptional brands in 86 countries.
Goodyear India said its win was significant as it is the first time Goodyear has displaced historical leading domestic brands.
