Christoph Sieder leaves Lanxess

Cologne, Germany – Lanxess announced that Christoph Sieder is leaving the firm at his own request, effective 30 June, and will take over the responsibility as head of group communications at Swiss power and automation technology corporation ABB effective 1 July.
“The Board of Management expresses its sincere gratitude and highest regard for Mr. Sieder’s service to the company. We deeply regret his departure,” said Matthias Zachert, chairman of the board of management of Lanxess.
The native Austrian Sieder has been responsible for global corporate communications as senior vice president since 1 July 2004. During this period, he has made “a decisive contribution in successfully positioning the Lanxess brand name worldwide”.
Christiane Mueller, currently vice president of internal and crisis communications, as well as corporate responsibility, will provisionally perform the duties of the head of communications until a successor has been found.
