NR prices sink further - around $4.60

London -- Rubber prices have been sinking sharply in the wake of stock market falls this week. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract moved down by a further yen15, overnight after yesterday's fall of yen20, closing at yen 355.5 ($4.61) per kg on Tuesday 9 August. Shorter-dated prices were also down by yen 15 at yen 350.

In Singapore, SGX had no data for prices on 9 August

In India, the NMCE saw September deliveries down by 2 rupees at around Rs 205 ($4.53) per kilo

In China, the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw prices down by a fraction of a yuan, with August deliveries trading at around Yuan 33.0 ($5.13) per kilo
