UK retailer doubles order for Winter tyres
ERJ staff report (DS)
Aston, Birmingham, UK - UK-based tyre retailer, ATS Euromaster has ordered £600 million-worth of cold-weather tyres for the forthcoming season - more then twice the value it ordered last year.
Peter Fairlie, Group Sales Director at ATS Euromaster, says: “We'll be fitting cold weather tyres in earnest from early October, although we are flexible and can accommodate any customers' preferred schedule for changing over.â€
In addition to customers fitting cold weather tyres on vehicles for the first time, ATS Euromaster will also be supporting motorists who adopted a winter fitment policy last year. The company has approximately 20,000 part-worn cold weather tyres stored in tyre hotels throughout its network, each labelled with a vehicle registration number and barcode to ensure they are re-fitted to the same customer's car or van.
ATS Euromaster is owned by Michelin in the UK.
