Zeon to raise SIS prices on 1 Sept
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Zeon Corp. said it is rasing the price of its SIS thermoplastic elastomers from 1 Sept. The increase amounts to US Dollar 220 per metric ton. The materials are sold under the tradename, Quintac.
Zeon is also raising prices for its Quintone thermoplastic resins by the same amount. Quintone materials are based on high-purity 1,3-pentadiene, and often used as additives in adhesives manufacture.
Zeon said, "Due to the tight supply situation, it is difficult to ensure an ongoing stable supply without adjusting prices to maintain profitability."
