Yokohama plants trees at NR unit in Thailand

Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., said that on Saturday, August 6, 2011, Y. T. Rubber Co., Ltd. (YTRC), its natural-rubber processing factory in Thailand, held a first-phase tree-planting ceremony on its premises in Surat Thani Province as part of the "Yokohama Forever Forest" project.
YTRC, Yokohama Rubber's own natural-rubber processing facility, was established in September 2008 to provide a stable supply of quality natural rubber, accumulate expertise in precision natural-rubber processing techniques, improve the ability to control the physical properties and quality of natural rubber, etc. Production commenced in May 2010. There are 230 employees as of the end of July this year, and output is now at the level of 3,000 tons a month.
