Wacker rejigs silicones distribution in CEE
ERJ staff report (PR)
Munich, Germany – Wacker Chemie AG has replaced Brenntag CEE as distributor for its silicones and polymers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with six other distribution partners.
IMCD, Euro-Him-1, Hellermann, Radka, Revada and Variachem will take over the role with effect from 1 July, as part of a regional reorganisation, the silicones manufacturer announced.
The six chemicals distributors are already distributing products from the group’s silicones and polymers portfolio in different regions, Wacker added in a 23 May press statement. The company did not elaborate further on its decision.
Wacker’s silicone portfolio ranges from silicone fluids, emulsions, resins, elastomers and sealants to silanes and pyrogenic silica. These products find application in such sectors as construction, chemicals, cosmetics, textiles, automotive, paper and electronics.
