Bridgestone relocating rubber track plant within Shenyang, China

Tokyo – Bridgestone Corporation announced on 14 July that Shenyang Bridgestone Co., Ltd. (SYBS) will relocate its plant and facilities from its current location in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China to a chemical industry park also in Shenyang.
A Bridgestone Group company, SYBS manufactures rubber tracks used on agricultural, construction, mining and transportation equipment, as well as marine fenders used as energy absorbing bumpers on docks of shipping ports around the world.
The relocation will require an estimated investment of 204 million Yuan (€24.1m), including building construction and equipment. The new plant will be situated in an area of 52,000 square metres, and plans are for production to commence in the first half of 2016.
SYBS was established in 1989 and employs 409 employees.
