Maxxis Introduces computerised label system
ERJ staff report (DS)
London -- Maxxis is disseminating tyre label data to customers through its own customised software systems. Through two pieces of specially created software, Maxxis is already in a position to clearly communicate the wet braking, noise levels and rolling resistance of each and every tyre it produces to both retailers and distributers. .
Firstly, the brand has created its 'label finder system', which uses an application programming interface (API) to allow customers to plug Maxxis tyre labeling data into their websites which can then be printed off as labels as required.
In addition to this, a Maxxis labelling widget has also been devised which will allow customers to enquire about the labeling details from the company's database. The widget is then easily embedded using an i-frame into any website when required.
Maxxis' managing director Derek McMartin said Maxxis' labels have many ratings in the B category in the wet grip performance.
He said: "EU tyre labelling law is of huge importance to the industry, not just from a manufacturer point of view, but also a retailer one.
