NR prices increase over the weekend

London - Rubber prices trended upwards on Monday 03 September. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were by 10 yen at just under yen 228 ($2.91) at the close of the day session on Monday. Shorter-dated prices were also stronger, to close just below yen 222 on Monday afternoon.
In Singapore, the March 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX jumped nearly 10 cents at around $2.65; October 2012 prices also rose sharply, to trade around $2.62 toward the end of the Monday evening session.
In India, NMCE said September prices fell fractionally to close just below Rs 172 ($3.10). October prices also eased by a rupee, to close at just under Rs 169.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for September rose by 0.3 to close at Yuan 21.5 ($3.39) per kilo on Monday. October prices rose by 0.4 to close at yuan 21.7.
