DuPont forms Viton compounding JV In China

Beijing -- DuPont Performance Polymers and Chenguang Chemical Research Institute are to form a 50/50 joint venture for the production and marketing of fluoroelastomer gums and precompounds in China. Chenguang is a subsidiary owned by China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina).
. The joint venture, which will include a new state-of-the-art precompounding plant to be constructed in Shanghai, is expected to be operational in the first half of 2013
“This joint venture combines DuPont's leading fluoroelastomer technology, global reach and strong DuPont Viton brand with Chenguang's manufacturing position and China presence,†said Diane H. Gulyas, president of DuPont Performance Polymers
