Orléans - Elastopôle, the French association for rubber and polymers, says it has sponsored Bertrand de Broc, a participant in the non-stop solo sailing race Vendée Globe.
The race commenced 10 Nov in Sables d'Olonne, France. Elastopôle said that besides the fact that elastomers and polymers are 'discreetly' present on boat, Bertrand de Broc also shares many values with rubber, such as high tensile strength, resilience, resistance to fatigue, elongation and durability.
