Trento, Italy – Tyre Retreading Machinery (TRM), part of Marangoni Meccanica SpA, has introduced a new automated production cell for curing and trimming premium retreading materials.
The new manufacturing cell employs Fanuc robotic arms to handle retreading materials of up to 500mm during the production steps.
“All the loading/unloading activities will be now fully automated – moving the operator to a supervision role,” a company spokesman told ERJ 10 May.
This will ‘reduce the operators’ physical effort and improve the constancy of the production process,’ explained Alessandro Villa general manager.
The two cells are an automation upgrade to TRM’s Ringtread production technology and will be put in operation in Nashville, Tennessee.
The machines, which will work independently, “complete the automation of the production of the wide base ring,” Villa explained.
Part of Marangoni Meccanica SpA, TRM is specialised in the design and manufacturing of machines and production lines for the retreading of passenger, truck, OTR and aircraft tires.
