EagleBurgman wins €2-m sealing contract for Siberian pipeline project
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Weinheim, Germany - EagleBurgman has received a €2.1 million order to supply seals to three pumping stations on the East Siberia Pacific Ocean pipeline.
The seal manufacturer, part of the Freudenberg group of companies, has supplied more than €6 million of double and single high-pressure seals, supply systems and spare parts to the ESPO pipeline since 2006.
The pumps and seals are subject to harsh operating conditions due to extreme climatic and geographical conditions in the area of operation. The 1.2 meter wide pipeline passes through areas prone to earthquakes and overcomes extreme differences in elevation.
The ESPO pipeline is a 5000 km long pipeline being built in the East of Russia and will supply China, Japan and South Korea with Siberian oil. It is slated for completion in 2016
