Bridgestone establishes technical centre in Thailand

Tokyo - Bridgestone is to invest yen 3.7 billion (Euro 26 million) in a new technical centre in Thailand.
Bridgestone Asia Pacific PTE. Ltd, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp., said the centre is due to open in July 2013.
Currently, tire development and quality management for operations in the Asia Pacific region are handled by the company's technical centre in Japan. Once the new facility is complete, operations will be gradually shifted to the new technical centre, Bridgestone said in a 17 Jan news release.
The company said that as markets and the Asian region continue to grow and diversified rapidly, it believes by strengthening its technical support in the region. It will be old respond more quickly to customer's needs.
