REACH 2013 registration trackable online
ERJ staff report (BC)
Helsinki, Finland – The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is now publishing specific information on the progress of registering chemicals towards the 2013 REACH deadline, which applies to substances manufactured or imported at or above rates of 100 tonnes per annum.
This information is available on ECHA's REACH 2013 web page and will be updated weekly in the run-up to the deadline of 31 May.
Data include an overview of the substances intended to be registered, lists of registration intentions and lead registrant nominations where companies make joint submissions for particular substances.
Support information on IT tools for preparing and submitting registration dossiers is available.
ECHA encourages companies to follow the progress of registrations, and threatens that “substances … not registered may unexpectedly disappear from the market.”
The agency expects that approximately 4 000 substances will be registered by the deadline. Of these, up to 900 substances were already registered in 2010 and 3 100 are additional substances for the 2013 deadline.
