Thai agriculture ministry to stabilise rubber price
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Bangkok – The Thai Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry is looking to prevent rubber price in the country from fluctuating, setting the price at 110 baht (roughly €2.9) per kilogram, according to the National News Bureau of Thailand.
The website reported that after meeting with the Thai Rubber Association, the country’s deputy agriculture minister has agreed to set this year’s rubber price at 110 per kilo, admitting that it has been fluctuating since the Songkran Festival last month.
The minister is said to have also revealed that there have been purchase requests for Thai rubber from foreign buyers, but no deals have been made so far.
