Falken's first all-year tire geared to Europe
ERJ staff report (BC)
Offenbach am Main, Germany – The Euroall Season AS200 tire from Falken is tailored specifically to the “complex requirements” of the European market, says the company, with four wide and deep longitudinal grooves to disperse high volumes of water, while offset lateral grooves direct water away from the tire.
Improved traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads without compromise on comfort is claimed, along with reduced tire rolling noise and shorter braking distances.
The rubber compound contains extra silica and a high proportion of styrene groups, to improve wet handling. An anti-ageing agent permeates continuously from the lower reservoir tread to the outer tread; Falken says this protects the running surface from aging and aggressive environmental influences throughout tire’s life.
The AS200 will be available at specialist tire dealers from July 2013 in a range of 27 dimensions.
