JSR eyes Indian growth with new subsidiary
Tokyo – JSR Corp. has established a local subsidiary in India to strengthen sales and marketing activities for its synthetic rubber and other elastomer products in the region.
JSR Elastomer India Private Ltd was set up in Gurgaon, Haryana, at the end of last year, according to a JSR statement issued 9 April.
India, it noted, is the fifth largest producer of cars in the world, “and demand for elastomer products for tires and automotive parts is expected to increase.”
The Japanese materials supplier expects demand to grow for high-performance products such as solution-polymerised styrene butadiene rubber for low fuel consumption tires.
