Semperit exits conveyor-belts cooperation in N America

Vienna – Sempertrans USA LLC and Shaw Almex Industries Ltd are ending their cooperation in the North American conveyor belt market, the companies announced 14 Nov.

Sempertrans USA has set up a sales and distribution organisation to serve the market after the ending of the cooperation, which started in 2016.

“Our customers remain serviced without interruption,” insisted Markus Keller, head of segment Sempertrans, part of Austrian group Semperit.

“We both agreed that it is better for our customers if we act independently and therefore can be more flexible in handling their needs,” added Tim Shaw, CEO of Shaw Almex.
