Trelleborg, Sweden –Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is to relocate its Danish manufacturing facility to a new, “state-of-the-art” production facility, parent group Trelleborg announced 17 Aug.
The SEK120 million (€12.6 million) project will see production move to a new facility close to the current one in Helsingør, with start-up scheduled for the beginning of 2020.
The move is intended to transform and expand the current capabilities with advanced manufacturing systems and technologies that enhance profitable sales growth, said the press release.
“The new production facility will be dedicated to highly automated and lean production lines for the automotive, aerospace and renewable energy industries, contributing to better business and higher technical customer support,” said Claus Barsøe, president of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
The investment is part of a strategy targeting “attractive” market segments, said Trelleborg, which described the Danish operation as “one of the most important globally” for the sealing products unit.
