Wilmington, Delaware - The Chemours Co. has increased global prices for all its fluoropolymer products, the US chemicals company announced 1 March.
The price adjustment of up to 10% will be effective “immediately or as contracts and law allow,” said the DuPont chemical spin-off which is specialised in titanium technologies, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions.
One of Chemour's leading brands is Viton which is a synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer commonly used in O-rings, chemical-resistant gloves, and other molded or extruded goods.
The company did not comment on the reasons for the price hike.
