London – Fenner PLC has proposed to its shareholders to support the appointment of Michael Ducey to its board as a non-executive director of the company.
The position, said Fenner on 28 Dec, is expected to “bring stability and added expertise to the board… and enable the search for a new CEO to continue.”
Mark Abrahams, non-executive chairman, has been serving as the interim CEO since January 2016 following the leave of absence by former CEO Nick Hobson.
Abrahams has confirmed that he will continue to act as CEO until a strong candidate has been found.
Fenner’s board has also announced it would continue to search for another independent non-executive director in addition to Ducey.
Ducey will be submitted for election by shareholders at the annual general meeting on 11 Jan.
