Beijing – In its latest five-year strategic plan, ChemChina has proposed to “vigorously” develop advanced intelligent manufacturing, especially the tire, rubber and plastics machinery.
China National Chemical Equipment Co. (CNCEC), a subsidiary of ChemChina, will be driving the technology initiative with focus on three business segments: rubber & plastics machinery; intelligent control and modern manufacturing services; automotive and automotive component manufacturing.
“The company’s new partner KraussMaffei is a pioneer in the German plastics industry 4.0 and will remarkably enhance the high-end manufacturing capacity of CNCEC,” said a ChemChina report.
At the event to address the topic, CNCEC discussed a number of recent technological developments, namely cloud manufacturing, online crowd-sourcing, synchronous multi-address collaborative design, mass customisation and precision supply chain.
The event also studied the “Internet +” and “Made in China 2025” strategies and the “intelligent manufacturing program of China” by comparing them with the “US industry internet programme” and the “German Industry 4.0 strategy”.
