Brussels – The EU passenger car market grew for a 32nd consecutive month, registering a 9.1-percent year-on-year increase in April to 1.27 million units.
This is the highest result in volume terms since April 2008, according to Brussels-based European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), which compiled the data.
Among the major markets, Spain posted a strong 21.2-percent rise, followed by Italy, Germany, France and the UK.
