Edinburgh, UK — A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) toilet brush is set for production in China after its UK-based inventor secured Kickstarter funding.
The LooBlade’s TPU system was supplied by Shanghai-based Huzheng Nanotechnology.
The helical shaped prototype master model was created using a vacuum cast process and printed on an SLA machine.
The head is made from 60 shore TPU and includes a silicone powder additive to increase its hydrophilicity and a silver zinc anti-microbial additive to help keep it clean.
Inventor Garry Stewart crowd-sourced over £50,000 (€65,000) for the project and said the brush is likely to retail at £19.
