EU new car demand marks two years of uninterrupted growth

Brussels – Demand for new passenger cars in the EU was up 11.2 percent in Aug, ending the second year of uninterrupted growth in the continent.
In a release on 15 Sept, the European Automobiles Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said the growth continued despite August being typically one of the weakest months for registrations, together with February.
All major markets observed growth with Spain continuing its top position at 23.3 percent growth followed by Italy (10.6 percent), France (10 percent), the UK (9.6 percent) and Germany (6.2 percent).
