Teijin hikes aramid prices
Arnhem, The Netherlands – Teijin Aramid has announced its first general price increase in six years for its Twaron products with – contracts permitting – a 7-percent rise for buyers of the aromatic polyamide fibre materials.
The move was required to support "continued investment in sustainable production techniques and collaboration with partners on innovative solutions," said a 15 Oct company statement.
"Twaron is increasingly used in high-grade applications in various industrial sectors. We will continue to invest in knowledge and expertise that we will actively use with our partners to jointly develop innovative and valuable applications," explained Gert Frederiks, CEO and president of Teijin Aramid.
