Roesler claims TPMS breakthrough
ERJ staff report (PR)
Dortmund, Germany - Roesler Tyre Innovators, based in Dortmund, claims to have developed the world’s most powerful tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) for off-the-road (OTR) vehicles.
The sensor, said Roesler, is the first ever OTR TPMS system that is able both to measure the temperature at the belt of the tire and read the remaining tread depth and the air pressure.
The patented product, called Intread, is the result of a three-year project, supported by the German federal ministry of economic affairs and energy.
The “TPMS packs an unprecedented amount of technology, in an unthinkable small amount of space, said Roeler. “No TPMS system has been built this way before.”
