Indian dumping duty on Chinese nylon tire cord fabric continues
ERJ staff report (TP)
New Delhi – The Indian Finance Ministry has extended by one more year the validity of anti-dumping duty on nylon tire cord fabric (NTCF) imports from China, reported The Hindu.
The anti-dumping duty, which was earlier valid until 28 April this year, will now be applicable until 28 April next year.
NTCF has applications in different kinds of automotive tires such as bus and truck, two-wheeler, cycles and light commercial vehicles.
This revenue department move follows the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry initiating a sunset review on anti-dumping duty imposed on NTCF imports from China.
The Association of Synthetic Fibre Industry on behalf of two of its member companies – SRF Ltd and Century Enka – had filed a petition requesting a sunset review by the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry.
