STARCO expands FLT tire production capabilities

Galten, Denmark – Danish tire manufacturer STARCO said that that after just over two year’s operation its new solid rubber tire factory in Sri Lanka has been enhanced to increase production flexibility and capacity.
The original specification for the Sri Lanka factory called for the manufacture of 80,000 solid rubber fork lift truck (FLT) tires annually – divided between the STARCO Tusker and Unicorn product ranges.
STARCO was established in Denmark in 1962. The name, STARCO, is an acronym of "Scandinavian Tyre And Rim Company".
It is a global group of companies with sales, distribution, engineering and wheel-manufacturing operations in more than 30 locations worldwide. The company manufactures solid, dual and flex tires, steel wheels and plastic rims.
