MESNAC and the Slovakian success story
ERJ Staff Report (TP)
Cologne, Germany - MESNAC’s Vice President, Karol Vanko, spoke with ERJ yesterday at the Tire Technology Expo 2014 about its new service centres around the world and the benefits of its presence in Slovakia.
Vanko said: "The main message to our partners and customers is that MESNAC is getting bigger each year and becoming more of an international company.
"Last year we added two subsidiaries in the US, which means we now have three companies there - two production companies and a research centre. We have a new service office in Brazil and opened a service centre in Thailand this year."
He is also General Director of the Mesnac European Research and Technical Centre (MERTC) in Dubnica nad Vahom, Slovakia.
"We have 1,000 R&D people working for us - in Slovakia, the UK, the US and China. Of course work is divided into regions and cultures, but Slovakia has a very good position.
"We are exactly between West and East European cultures. All our staff speak English and Russian fluently, which means we can understand East European customers very well. They like it - they can speak as friends, which is very important."
