Advantages claimed for polyethylene condoms over latex
ERJ staff report (BC)
Toronto, Ontario, Canada –Acme Protection Corporation has launched the Unique brand of non-latex condoms. According to the company, these are the first condoms made from a polyethylene (PE) resin to be approved by the Health Canada government agency.
Benefits claimed for the AT-10 grade PE condoms are that they can be engineered to be both thinner and three times stronger than latex, and are hypallergenic.
W Sam Chandoha, president of Acme Protection Corp., said: "We are pleased to enter the marketplace with Unique. Over a decade in development and testing, Unique has emerged as the most revolutionary, high-performance, craft condom product to be offered since the invention of the first rubber condom.
“In every parameter … Unique has proven to perform better than every latex brand available for sale in the world marketplace."
