Momentive to lauch ultraviolet-curing LSR at K 2013

Leverkusen, Germany – Momentive Performance Materials (MPM) will unveil its latest development in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) technology, UV-curing LSR, at the K 2013 trade show in Düsseldorf.
The company said that the material “could enable new concepts and part designs in multi-component moulding”.
Process demonstrations, in cooperation with injection moulding machine builder Engel and mould supplier Elmet, will take place by appointment at MPM’s booth (8a/G45) throughout the show.
As well as the LSR material, MPM will also introduce at K 2013 a range of materials from elastomers to coatings, designed to enhance performance in applications including automotive, electronic, and medical.
