Dunlop wins Flybe jet tire deal
ERJ staff report (BC)
Birmingham, UK – Dunlop Aircraft Tyres (DAT) has won an exclusive five-year deal to supply new and retreaded nose and mainwheel tires for European regional airline Flybe’s fleet of Embraer 175 jet aircraft, as well as radial nosewheel tires for the carrier’s Embraer 195s.
Flybe operates 14 Embraer 195s and has so far taken delivery of nine Embraer 175s, with a further 26 on firm order.
DAT chairman Ian Edmondson said: “For many years we have supported Flybe with tires for its large fleet of Bombardier Q400 turboprops. “This significant contract to provide tires and retreading for the airline’s fleet of regional jets further strengthens our market-leading position on Embraer E-Jets.”
