Michelin appoints new agri technical manager in UK
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Stoke-on-Trent, UK – Michelin has appointed Gordon Brookes to the role of agricultural division technical manager for the UK and Republic of Ireland, taking over from Laurent Mozziconacci.
Brookes moves from the original equipment side of Michelin’s truck division where he spent five years as OE sales manager. He joined Michelin in 1987 as a multi-product line sales manager and after six years he moved into the agricultural division. In 2006, he joined the truck division, looking after the tire requirements of some of the company’s biggest customers, Michelin said in a 12 Feb news release.
“When this opportunity came up, I thought it was too good to miss. I have a long history with Michelin and an extensive background and interest in agriculture specifically,” Brookes said.
Brookes will manage all the technical elements of Michelin’s agricultural product range, dealing with tires for a wide range of farm machinery from tractors to combine harvesters, and sprayers to telehandlers.
Mozziconacci returns to Clermont-Ferrand in France to take up his new position as Off Road Tyre Specialist within the truck tire division.
