London - Rubber prices rose on Thursday. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract rose by 2 yen to close at just above yen 250 ($3.08) on Thursday 15 November. Shorter-dated prices were little changed to close at yen 236 (from 236).
In Singapore, the April 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up 2 at $2.85 a few minutes before the close on Thursday evening; December 2012 prices were also trading up 2 at around at $2.81 (from $2.79).
In India, NMCE said November prices closed down 2 at just below Rs 172 ($3.14). December prices also eased slightly to close at Rs 173 (from 174).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for November closed up 1 at Yuan 23.7 ($3.80) per kilo on Thursday. Prices for January 2013 rose by a fraction of a yuan to close just below yuan 24.5 (from 24.4).
